Sherri Veach

Sherri Veach is an aqua, Pilates, and strength training fitness instructor with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Baylor University. She holds AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association) and CPR certifications, and is currently working on her personal training certification. Over the years, Sherri has worked at Scottsdale Healthcare in their cardiac rehab facility and at Paradise Community College in their fitness center. She enjoys exercising, photography, traveling and being a part of her children’s activities. Sherri has three children ages 9, 12 and 14.

Catherine Sandow

Catherine Sandow joined the Chicago Police Department in 1986 and served as a police officer in two west-side districts for twenty years. She retired from the Chicago Police Department in 2007. Prior to retiring, Catherine began concentrating on training in various forms of physical fitness through the local YMCA. She received various certifications and subsequently taught cycling, stability ball, SilverSneakers and muscle conditioning. She has also received certifications in Core Training, Zumba, Zumba Gold, SilverSneakers Splash, SilverSneakers Yoga and aqua. Since early 2007, Catherine has taught several group exercise classes at a variety of health clubs, including Classic Residence. Catherine thoroughly enjoys physical fitness and teaching, as well as working with senior populations. She likes spending time with her dog, Crickett and her husband, Jim. Catherine has a 25-year-old son, Thomas, still living in the Chicago area.

Seleka Behrs

In 2005, Seleka Behrs moved from Texas to Ohio to pursue her passions for health and helping others. Seleka began a degree program offered through a partnership between Cincinnati State and SHI Integrative MedicalMassage School. An accident and injury prevented Seleka from obtaining her degree, although she had completed 90% of the program with a 3.9 GPA. Determined to continue a path that would lead to helping others, Seleka transferred her credits to the Health and Fitness Technology program at Cincinnati State and graduated with honors in 2011. While there, she interned at Christ Hospital Pilates Rehabilitation Center, SCI-Step (spinal chord injury rehabilitation), and a holistic assisted-living facility. Seleka specializes in aquatic fitness, boot camp, yoga, and Pilates formats. She is a certified group fitness instructor through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association). Additionally, Seleka is a certified Pilates instructor and personal trainer through the Health and Fitness degree program. She recently moved to Arizona to pursue a medical degree and become a Naturopathic Doctor. She works at a local gym teaching aquatic aerobics and SilverSneakers senior fitness classes. Seleka is a sub-contractor for Waterworks on Wheels and the City of Mesa. Her hobbies include singing, playing the flute, outdoor recreation activities, and volunteering in the community.
